About the role and practice
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our general practice team.
This casual role is primarily for Monday afternoons and all day Fridays, with additional shifts available to cover annual and sick leave. Flexibility to work extra hours when required is essential. As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll provide a welcoming, professional experience while supporting our doctors, nurses and the day-to-day running of the practice.
What you’ll be doing
Welcome patients and manage enquiries in person and by phone.
Book appointments, process payments and maintain patient records.
Support the doctors and nurses with general administrative duties.
Help keep reception running smoothly and efficiently.
Work as part of a friendly, supportive team.
What we’re looking for
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Friendly, organised and professional, with strong attention to detail.
Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
A flexible and reliable team player.
Previous medical reception experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates with strong administration or customer service experience are encouraged to apply, with training provided.
Local applicants are preferred but not essential.
