CESPHN runs a full calendar of events which can be found on the Event Registration page. We also support external organisations who also run education and these events can be found below. If you would like to advertise on our external events page, please complete the online form

Please note that events must be held in the next 12 months, be hosted within the CESPHN catchment, and be relevant to general practitioners, allied health professionals, practice nurses, practice managers or practice staff.

Central and Eastern Sydney PHN has full discretion to reject external event requests or cease the promotion of any external events on our website.

NSW Hepatitis B for Nurses and Midwives

Saturday, 17th May 2025, 8.30am – 5.00pm

This course will provide Nursing and Midwifery Professionals with advanced practical skills and knowledge in hepatitis B nursing. The course includes presentations and case discussions that introduce the epidemiology and natural history of hepatitis B, vaccination, testing, fibrosis assessment, advanced liver disease, stigma and discrimination and the cultural context of hepatitis B nursing and midwifery.

Engaging Ambivalent Clients: Enhancing Motivation and Building Self-efficacy

Tuesday, 20 May 2025, 10.00 am – 5.00 pm

Enhancing our client’s motivation to change and building their self-efficacy is absolutely paramount when it comes to treating people experiencing eating and body image issues- including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. This one day workshop for allied health practitioners provides an introduction to/ refresher of motivational interviewing with a specific application to eating disorders. In particular the workshop will emphasize how to work with clients in precontemplative, contemplative and determination/ preparation stages of change.
