PREPARE
General practices with an up-to-date emergency response plan are better placed to provide continuity of care for their patients and safeguard business operations.
Tips for being prepared
- Have an up-to-date emergency response plan in place (a requirement for RACGP Standards for General Practice). CESPHN’s Practice Support Team can provide support with your plan.
- Trial your plan on a regular basis
- Connect with your fellow primary health care providers to build a mutual support network
- Have a plan in place to send communications to patients and staff about service disruptions or changes
