The GPACI aims to enhance the quality and continuity of care for residents in residential aged care homes.

Benefits of GPACI

For Patients:

  • Regular Visits: Ensures residents in residential aged care homes receive regular visits and care planning services from their responsible GP and practice.
  • Continuity of Care: Supports continuous, quality care and aims to reduce avoidable hospitalisations.

For Practices:

  • Incentive Payments: Quarterly incentive payments for services to registered patients in residential aged care homes.
  • Financial Support: Payments of $300 per patient per year for GPs and $130 per patient per year for practices.
