Jacaranda Women’s Hub is a dynamic community hub of local women supporting local women who have experienced adversity, offering transformative activities including:
Specialist Counselling and Case Management
Legal support
Centrelink support
Financial counselling and support
Housing and tenancy support
Sewing groups/craft classes
Art groups/therapy
Playgroup
Parenting programs
Programs for mothers and children together
Cultural programs for First Nations women.
Jacaranda is a project of Bayside Women’s Shelter, as they sought to offer a public facing option for women to seek information and support.
To further this, they are organising fortnightly information sessions and workshops on subjects that would be of interest to a range of women in the local community, things that would entice them to visit Jacaranda and perhaps connect with other service offerings. Their workshop sessions run from 1-2.30pm on Wednesday afternoons.
