CESPHN is inviting you to participate in our Overdue Childhood Immunisation QI Activity. 

Register your practice below to receive access to a dashboard containing a monthly report* extracted from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) listing children overdue for their routine NIP vaccinations. 

*Monthly report contains children aged 0-5 years, living in the CESPHN region who, according to the AIR, are not up to date with their National Immunisation Program (NIP) vaccinations. All children included in report had received their last vaccination by a provider at your practice.

Immunisation providers are invited to an immunisation update hosted by SESLHD and SLHD Public Health Units on Wednesday 3rd December, 9am – 1pm. Online Teams link to come.

Minor updates to several Australian Immunisation Handbook sections were actioned this week.

DiphtheriaPertussis (whooping cough)PoliomyelitisTetanus

  • Now includes advice that diphtheria-toxoid vaccines can be co-administered with immunisation products such as RSV monoclonal antibodies.

Infants exposed to immunosuppressive therapy in utero or through breastmilk

  • Gives more detailed guidance on live vs non-live vaccines, and specific advice for anti-CD20 therapies.

Minor changes were also made to listings for the disease chapters for measles, varicella (chickenpox), tuberculosis and Q fever.
