FIVE QUESTIONS is where we ask members of the community to talk about how they stay HEALTHY. Jacinta Frawley, who has stage three ovarian cancer, enjoys a healthy lifestyle and positive relationships.

1. What did you eat yesterday?
I prioritise a healthy diet with lots of protein and vegetables but sometimes I stamp my foot like a toddler and add in cheesecake which is what I did yesterday!
2.What exercise did you do yesterday?
Living with ovarian cancer is a chronic condition requiring great care and attention to my physical health. Currently I am enjoying walking in nature while listening to podcasts. I do weights at home as solitary exercise reduces the risk of infection. I do miss gym classes though.
3.When did you last see a primary health professional?
I usually have bloods taken and see the medical oncologist every 4 to 6 weeks. Strangely I am almost never sick and so seldom see my GP.
4. What do you do to improve your mental health?
Living with ovarian cancer focuses the heart and mind on being with those I love, doing work that is rewarding, and I am committed to voluntary activities to improve the situation for women with ovarian cancer.. I also love to connect and keep up a wide range of conversations with friends and family all over the world.
5. What are your health goals for the next month?
This is a complex question. My time is very precious so my goal each month is the same—to keep as well as to be reasonably expected.
