Caring for a loved one can be a rich and rewarding experience but it can also be challenging and cause significant effects on a carer’s overall wellbeing. It’s important for carers to understand they are not alone and that help and supports are available to them.

Carer Gateway

Carer Gateway is an Australian Government program that provides free tailored support packages and planned respite for carers. To access the service call 1800 422 737, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and select option 1 to speak with your local service provider.

Carers NSW

Carers NSW is the peak non-government organisation for carers in NSW, part of the National Carer Network and a member of Carers Australia. Carers NSW works with the other state and territory Carer Organisations. Our focus is on improving the lives of carers. CarerHelp

CarerHelp is for carers who need information and resources to help them feel informed and prepared for caring for someone who is seriously ill.

CarerHelp has information for all in the community, including carers who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, carers who speak other languages, and carers who are from LGBTIQ+ communities.
