Important Update: Pen CS Software Decommisioning – Action Required by 30 October, 2025
Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network (CESPHN) is advising all general practices that Pen CS software (including CAT4 and PAT CAT) will be decommissioned and no longer accessible after 5:00pm on Thursday, 30 October 2025.
To avoid disruption to your PIP QI incentive payments, action is required now.
Transition to POLAR
This change is part of CESPHN’s transition to POLAR, a web-based business intelligence tool for general practice that provides insights to help practices to:
Easily submit data for the PIP QI incentive
Identify care gaps and track patient outcomes
Support quality improvement and business development
What this means for your practice
Access to Pen CS tools will cease after the deadline. Practices that do not transition to POLAR may miss out on PIP QI payments for the quarter.
Next Steps for Practices Currently Using Pen CS
Get in contact with your Digital Health Officer as soon as possible
Submit a signed Data Management Agreement (DMA) for POLAR – Download the DMA here
Once the DMA is signed and submitted, a Digital Health Officer will schedule installation at a time that suits your practice
Register for an upcoming POLAR information session here
