CESPHN has launched a new promotional video to support GPs, allied health practitioners and others across the region in navigating the Mental Health Services Directory (MHSD). The video provides a quick, practical overview of the directory’s purpose, how it aligns with the Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST), and how it helps clinicians identify appropriate local services for their patients and clients.
The MHSD was created in response to feedback from primary care clinicians using the IAR-DST and needing a clear, centralised way to find service options for referral mapped to IAR level of care. The directory brings together clinical, psychosocial and crisis support services into one easy-to-use platform, helping to improve referral pathways and support timely access to care.
We encourage GPs, allied health practitioners and other providers across the region to explore the video and share it within their networks.
