ABORIGINAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING EVENTS
Large-scale Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing events are held by Babana Aboriginal with the aim to raise awareness about important issues related to mental health and wellbeing. The events focus on de-stigmatising mental health and suicide, promoting connection to culture and community, and providing attendees access to resources and warm referrals to services.
The initiative aims to deliver culturally safe, trauma informed events to address the social determinants of health and wellbeing with a specific focus on mental health and suicide prevention and involve a wide range of service providers covering areas including employment, physical and psychological health and wellbeing across the life-span.
