OCTOBER 2026:COVID-19 vaccines will transition to the National Immunisation Program and eligibility for funded COVID-19 vaccines will be updated to focus on people at highest risk of severe disease. NSW Health Advice.

JULY 2026: From 1 July 2026, Capvaxive® (21vPCV), will
be added to the National Immunisation Program (NIP)and replace Prevenar 13® and Pneumovax 23® for adults. NSW Health advice.

MAY 2026: From 15 May 2026, Arexvy® RSV vaccine is NIP funded for adults aged 75 years and over and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged 60 years and over. RSV vaccine poster. NSW Health advice.

SEPTEMBER 2025: From 1 September 2025, Prevenar 20 has been introduced into the NIP to replace Prevenar 13 and Pneumovax 23 on the childhood and adolescence schedule. Resources.

JANUARY 2025: Abrysvo® will be funded under the NIP for pregnant women to protect their newborn against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

SESLHD have extended their community clinics into 2026 and will be conducting free community childhood and Aboriginal adult vaccination clinics throughout the year. For locations and dates please see the 2026 SESLHD community immunisation clinics calendar.
