National Immunisation Program

The National Immunisation Program (NIP) provides free vaccines to eligible people to help reduce diseases that can be prevented by vaccination.

NIP-funded vaccines

The NIP is funded by the Australian Government and implemented by NSW Health.

The NIP Schedule is a series of immunisations given at specific times throughout a persons life, from birth through to adulthood.

Additional funded vaccines

Some additional vaccines are funded by NSW and the Commonwealth.

NIP Eligibility

Access to free National Immunisation Program vaccines requires a person to hold or be eligible for a Medicare card.

Please check the current NSW Immunisation Schedule to confirm whether a patient is eligible for a funded vaccine.
