The holiday period can be a wonderful time but can also be a challenging and isolating period for some. Mental health support is available.
The Canterbury Medicare Mental Health Centreoffers access to mental health information, services and support throughout the end of year holiday period (except for public holidays) Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
Referrals can be made by contacting 1800 595 212. The phone line is open 24/7 to assist callers with information about local mental health services
Urgent care services in the central and eastern Sydney region will be open throughout the holiday period.
These services will operate from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, 7 days a week, including public holidays.
Patients can access urgent care when they need fast medical attention for a health issue that is not life-threatening, or if they are unable to get an appointment at their local GP for a health issue which should not be left untreated.
